What’s in a name?

CASA {house} + PAPEL {paper} = CASAPEL

Casapel encompasses the many things I love about papercrafting in my own cozy space where I have a: desk, shelving unit, two storage carts, printer, couch (which I may end up chucking in the garage so I can have extra workspace), TV, and trusty Cricut Maker. My desk faces south, giving me light all day—it’s so rejuvenating when it’s ☀︎.

Working from home during a pandemic means that I get to make things with my little familia around me. SuperM is a good critic, so often times I peek in his room and ask him if he likes what I’ve made. Depending on his reaction, I either keep it or leave it (yep, I trust his judgment that much). Mr. P is straight up YES or NO. I do a happy dance when he smiles and says something like, “wow, that’s nice hun!”. I appreciate his honesty ❤︎.

I have stocked up on pretty cardstock, ranging from solid colors to cheerful and neutral patterns to create banners and multi-layered wall art. I’m sort of addicted to the 3D pieces, it gives me great satisfaction when it’s assembled and framed. Will be releasing several just in time for Mother’s Day.

PS: is it too soon to have spring fever? ; )
